Q: WHAT IS A MOTORCYCLE LOAN?   It is a financial arrangement between the borrower (that is you) and Motorcycle Affiliate Dealer that allows the borrower to use the motorcycle while he pays the monthly installment to Sumisho.

Q: WHAT IS A LATE PAYMENT CHARGE?   A late payment charge is a fee that will be applied for non-payment on due date. Always pay on or before due date to avoid this payment charge.

Q: WHAT IS A DUE DATE?   A due date is the date that you should be settling your loan every month. Please be sure to check your Loan Reference Card for your due date.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY DUE DATE FALLS ON A WEEKEND OR HOLIDAY?   We have payment channels that accept payments on weekends. Not all payment channels are open on holidays. You may want to settle your monthly due beforehand to avoid the inconveniences'.

Q: HOW MUCH WILL I PAY?   The monthly amortization noted on your Loan Reference Card is the amount you need to settle monthly. Failure to pay on due date will mean that you will need to pay the amortization, late payment and penalty charges. Avoid the inconvenience and always pay before your due date.

Q: WHERE CAN I PAY?   The Motorcycle Affiliate Dealers have many different payment channels to suit your need and other payment centers nationwide. Please note that some payment channels have system processing times that may cause delay in payment posting depending on the Dealer of choice. To avoid this, please ensure that you pay before the due date to avoid the inconvenience.

Q: WHICH MODE OF PAYMENT DO I USE? The Motorcycle Affiliate Dealers accept cash or check payments. Only transact your payments directly with your dealer and only through their accredited payment centers.

Q: CAN I PAY WITH POST DATED CHECKS?   It depends upon the dealer assigned to , you may need to contact or visit your Motorcycle's Dealer Branch near you for post dated check payments.

Q: WHAT IS A PENALTY CHARGE?   Failure to make the full payment required post the due date warrants a penalty charge. A penalty fee rate of 5% shall be applied by Sumisho for insufficient or non-payment of the total amount due. It will be charged daily if payment is not made before the due date and it will be charged on the total amount due.

Q: I WANT TO BE NOTIFIED THROUGH SMS REGULARLY OF MY BALANCE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?   Sumisho sends an automated SMS message several times a month to inform you of your upcoming due or if we have not received your payment. Please ensure that your cell phone number remains updated with us so you can avail of this special service.

Q: I DON'T WANT MY MC UNIT ANYMORE CAN I GIVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE?   Since your MC loan is tied up with your name, you may not give your unit to someone else. You are still accountable for your loan.

Q: I HAVE BEEN GETTING DIFFERENT AMOUNTS TO PAY FROM THE SMS ALERTS, WHICH IS IT?   We provide you with the amount that needs to be paid as of today. If we do not receive your payment on the same day the amount will change based on the penalty charges. If you are not sure of the amount please call our customer service department.

Q: CAN I REQUEST FOR WAIVING MY PENALTY CHARGE?   Waiving of penalty charges is approved based on the review of the Sumisho Management on a per case basis.

Q: WHEN CAN I SURRENDER MY MOTORCYCLE UNIT?   You cannot surrender your motorcycle unit during the term of your loan.

Q: I AM GOING ABROAD WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY LOAN?   Your loan is ongoing; you would be responsible to ensure that monthly payments will be sent in to avoid inconveniences. Please assign a trusted relative who will take care of your loan payments for you. And we would appreciate if you could call us to inform us of your present arrangement.
